Barbara Elaine Horsley, 66, of Cloverport passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her residence.
Barbara was born on May 12, 1954 in Glen Dean, KY to the late Samuel Bryant and Ann Clark Bryant, who survives. She worked 23 years in the Cloverport School System as a Teacher’s Aid and as a cafeteria worker. She loved to cook and make fudge. According to her family the fudge was the best around. Many times, they would sit and eat her fudge and cheer her Kentucky Wildcats on to hopefully victory! She loved spending time with her family, whom she adored, and often it appeared that they worked as a unit, with everyone often leaving at the same time. She had either a talent or a gift of remembering dates and organizing cards. If anyone told her the date of their birthday or anniversary, she would never forget.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Samuel “Buddy” Joseph Bryant, Jr, grandchildren, Bryant Horsley and Baya Horsley and a set of twins.
Leaving behind to mourn her passing, but celebrating the life that she shared with her loved ones is her husband, Max Horsley, Cloverport; sons, Aaron (Jill) Horsley of Cloverport, Bryan (Megan) Horsley, Balltown; grandchildren, Sabrina and Novalee Horsley and sisters, Sharon (Paul) Horsley, Cloverport, Kathy (Michael) Morris, TN, Lynn Bryant, Hardinsburg and Nancy Thornhill, Leitchfield.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the Governor, the service will be private, and burial will follow the service at Cloverport Cemetery with Bro. Darren Gillespie officiating.
